Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global advancements into Latin popular music scene. In 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In Medellin, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. The album reached number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca the album that was one of the Top Five smash hit in 2010, featured him alongside Ozuna. He collaborated together with Noriel on Mala Influencia in the year 2020. He in the year following, he released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her most streamed track Maldita Foto. The hit song La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo came from a household of music his mother and older brother are both musicians. According to him, music was a fundamental part of his life. When a young boy, he studied the guitar as well as the saxophone. While his initial career choice was to be a veterinarian, His brother Julian advised him to go for lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban instructor and as a consequence of him discovering his gift in the field of singing changed the course of his life.
